Last night’s premiere of Lawless – The Real Bushrangers on Foxtel’s History Channel has achieved both critical acclaim and phenomenal ratings.
Episode 1 – ‘Ned Kelly’ was the number one show across all pay TV in it’s 8:30 time slot. This translates as the largest audience for the History Channel since January 2015, and the fourth most watched Australian show in the history of the channel.
‘A fascinating, revealing piece of work, an astute and
entertaining blending of factual genres’
Graeme Blundell, The Australian
‘Documentary sheds new light on the life of Australia’s most notorious bushranger (…) The program is handsomely made with gripping re-enactments and a spellbinding, ghostly diorama that illustrates the sequence of events.
Brad Newsome, The Age
‘It is among the best stuff I have ever been involved with’
Mike Munro, The Daily Telegraph
